•  About lysine Phosphoglycerylation

Phosphoglycerylation was newly discovered as a novel protein post-translational modification on lysine. It was observed that the primary glycolytic intermediate 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate (1,3-BPG) could modify the lysine to form 3-phosphoglyceryl-lysine, which might inhibit glycolytic enzymes. Although the details should be further revealed, it was proposed that phosphoglycerylation could regulate glycolytic process and metabolism.
